True, we like to spice things up with a dip in
the sea whenever it is possible, and in Marseille, it is easy to do.
But how do you get changed on the beach? How do you keep warm? How do you get back to work afterwards?
Our mission
Our mission is to design clothes and equipment that you can wear all day; to work, for a swim, to do some sport and meet your friends at the end of the day.
Our clothes are versatile, durable, but very elegant too. The planet and the environment are essential and always come first for L&P: fabrics, factory, design and our lifestyle (to know more, go to our impact and sustainability section).
Starting point
The starting point of our journey was the design and creation of the Beach Parka.
In L&P adventures, open water and cold water swimming are our foundations. Go and check our magazine section for articles and tips and listen to our podcast for cold water specialists and water lovers.
Freedom, the sea and cold water are things we could not live without. Having the right clothes and equipment makes all the difference.
Our collection
We spent a lot of time thinking about our
collection and one motto: no compromise.
For our first drop 1 2024, a set: trousers and jacket made in Portugal using an organic cotton with no dying and a natural color. An oversize tee to wear on the beach - a little bit of Marseille on the skin.
About me
A little bit about me… I'm Charlotte and I decided to start Layer&Plouf in 2023. It took me a while to get the ball rolling as I wanted everything to be perfect, especially the first drop.
The beach parka was the starting point as I
could not find any good changing robe in France. Also, a dream: starting my own business.
I could not find the perfect clothes for my
life in Marseille: 2 kids, friends, a job, a busy lunch break, cycling in the city – and a wish to be stylish and edgy.
